Card of Darkness presents an immersive journey, centered around a minimalist yet engaging card game experience.

The road has been arduous, but at last you find yourself at the heart of Glinhorn Forest, on the precipice of darkness. The plea for a hero has been answered, and you are that very hero.

A multitude of card stacks lie before you, filled with monsters, treasures, weapons, potions, and spells. However, only the top card of each stack is visible—what lies beneath remains a mystifying secret.

At times, the cards unveiled may reveal daunting monsters, incredible treasures, or vital weapons that you desperately require—and you can indeed claim them all. But beware! Once you take a card from a stack, you must eventually claim all subsequent cards beneath it. And the fates that await (be it peril or fortune) remain concealed until it's too late to turn back.

Every level in Card of Darkness unveils a captivating and ever-changing puzzle, as you weigh the risks against the rewards within.

You are a hero—fear not.

Over the past decade, I have dedicated myself to creating immersive and accessible games for individuals with limited time or space in their lives to fully explore every intricate detail of every video game.

My goal has always been to present the finest aspects of modern game design in a clear and accessible manner, introducing players to new realms they may not have otherwise considered.

Roguelike games have long fascinated me—a genre that pits players against randomly generated worlds brimming with formidable challenges and monstrous adversaries. Yet, it is also one of the most complex and daunting game genres one can encounter.

Card of Darkness is my endeavor to capture the essence of my most cherished moments from roguelike games, consolidating them into a simple yet profound card game experience.

Rest assured, you can expect my signature streamlined design, adorned with an abundance of content—decidedly copious! Over a hundred distinctive monsters, spells, and upgrades await you. Additionally, you will be captivated by the breathtaking hand-animated artistry of Pendleton Ward, Nelson Boles, Andrew Onorato, and Evan Borja. Moreover, Stemage has composed an extraordinary soundtrack that will transport you deeper into this captivating adventure.
